Graduated as Certified Therapists for Pediatric Qigong Massage for Autism
Under Make Children Better Teaching Institute for Body Conscious Healing & Connection, Antwerp Belgium
Today 16 people have graduated as Certified Therapists for Pediatric Qigong Massage for Autism after successfully completing both online & face to face training. The ceremony took place at Wagga Resort Mbarara. The training was conducted by Ms Sabine Baeyens a Qigong Master Trainer and team from Make Children Better Teaching Institute for Body Conscious Healing & Connection, Antwerp, Belgium.
The cohort whose membership comes from Karamoja, Arua, Gulu, Lira, Hoima, Fortportal, Masaka, Wakiso, Entebbe, Kabale and Mbarara is the first in Uganda and Africa. The therapists were equipped with knowledge and skills of reducing Autism symptoms and if the therapy is appropriately done, doing away with Autism in a child. This approach challenges the long time belief set by users of western medicine that Autism is a permanent and life long condition.
The therapists were identified and recommended by Oyesigye Special Child Foundation and will train parents and continuity of the therapy will be by parents on a daily basis.
Closing the three months training, the Mbarara City Clerk Mr Assy Abireebe thanked Ms Sabine for her love for Ugandan children for she is the one who fundraised for the training which started in October 2021.
He called upon parents to quickly get on the journey of their children’s healing. He noted that to a child with a disability, each passing day matters alot.
He thanked the Foundation for befriending such supporting friends.
